See, Told You I Suck At This

When was my last update? February of 2007?!? Yeah, consistency isn't my forte.

So, yes, I did take Lil Blu to see The Doodlebops and she sat on my lap the entire time. She really didn't know what to think of it, actually. I had fun :)

In the year and half since my last update we have: gone to Disneyland, seen The Wiggles, celebrated 3rd and 4th birthdays, celebrated a wedding anniversary of 11 years (!), and inching thatmuchcloser to the Big 4-0. Oh yeah, and a 20 year high school reunion was thrown in there as well -- didn't go to that and was kinda regretting it for about a week or two. What else have I done? Oh, started a more consistant workout program which includes a spinning class 3-4 times a week. Never before did I think I'd be able to do an entire spinning class but I challenged myself and am now kind of addicted to spinning. Hmmm, so I guess I can be consistent in something.

Okay, guess I'll try to keep this up...

Happy Birthday to Me

In 10 minutes, it will be my birthday...CA time. Even tho' I'm a year older, I really don't feel my age. Actually, sometimes I don't even act my age or even dress my age *grin*

My very first 'real' concert was Rick Springfield at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco. My aunt took me and I was so excited I pretty much stood there and didn't scream or sing or do anything. I'm at a concert for god's sake and I'm standing there like a bump on a log. Seeing this, my aunt started screaming and yelling; I guess she figured since she was doing it I would think it's okay and just do it too. Needless to say, I came home totally hoarse and very happy.

I took Lil Blu to her first concert today. Lil Blu is 2-1/2; we saw The Doodlebops. They have a show on the Disney Channel; are a musical group who sing, dance and have skits. They look like clowns and/or aliens. Songs are pretty catchy (Get on the Bus is my fave) and costumes are pretty colorful and bright. Went with my good friend and her daughter. I was excited taking Lil Blu to see what her reaction would be to a live show because she's so animated when she watches them on tv. She spent the entire show on my lap, wide eyed and staring at the stage. No dancing, no singing. When I sang along she would get shy and bury her head in my shoulder.
Maybe it was all too overwhelming for her and she was just taking it in. Maybe she didn't know what to think. Who knows. Friend's daughter, on the other hand, was ready to go home after the pre-show ended. She was into it for the first half of the show but after the intermission and the second half started, she was more interested in the glow sticks she was holding. So we have one child who is enthralled and another who was bored. Oh well, they're little.

So, do I want to take Lil Blu to The Wiggles next month? Uh, we'll see.

And it begins...

So here I am...starting my own blog. Why am I doing this? I'm not much of a writer. I mean, there are so many journals I've started but was never consistent in writing in them. In all honesty, most of those journals I've bought were just really cool looking *grin*

Again, so why am I here? Maybe to write about my job as a wife, mom, and worker bee in Corporate America. Maybe to rant about my daily activities and/or observations. Maybe to just put the rampant thoughts (or lack there of sometimes) in my head down so others can (hopefully) be amused.

With that I say welcome to my blog and hope you enjoy.
